Not a Book Club — with Kate Forsyth

Low commitment. High reward. Totally not a Book Club…

The City of Perth Library’s Not a Book Club is an author in-conversation series for readers who love stories, ideas, and conversation—without the homework.

Hosted by the indefatigable Will Yeoman, this new series brings a mix of Western Australian favourites and touring authors for exclusive in-conversation events throughout 2026. With a blend of free and ticketed sessions, there’s something for everyone.

Our final event features the award-winning Australian writer, poet and oral storyteller, Kate Forsyth, author of more than 40 books for both children and adults. Inspired by the true story of Scotland’s first witch-hunt, her latest novel, The Changeling, is a spellbinding tale of witchcraft, forbidden love and defying fate.

Enjoy a glass of wine on arrival & light refreshments provided. Books provided by our partner Pigface Bookstore will be available for purchase and signing on the night.
